AN ORDINANCE REGULATING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA BY ENACTING TIME LIMIT RESTRICTIONS FOR PARKING AND RANKING, HANDICAP PARKING, AND LOADING ZONES ON THE STREETS WITHIN THE UPTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICT AS DESCRIBED HEREWITHIN; AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF OFFICIAL TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS INDICATING SAID RESTRICTIONS; REPEALING ANY CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.

The following parking and ranking regulations are hereby established on Bay Avenue, Front Avenue, Broadway, First Avenue, Ninth Street, Tenth Street, Eleventh Street, Twelfth Street, Thirteenth Street, and Fourteenth Street as described here within:

a) 4-hour Parking from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weekdays
c) 2-hour Ranking from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weekdays d) 4-hour Handicap Parking
e) 15-minute Loading Zone (Ranking)
f) 30-minute Loading Zone (Ranking)
g) No Parking Anytime
SECTION 2.

No more than two (2) motorcycles, as defined in the Official Code of Georgia at 40-1-1(29), shall occupy one (1) standard parking space or ranking space at the same time.
SECTION 3.

That any person violating this ordinance shall, upon conviction before the Recorder of Columbus, Georgia, be fined in an amount not exceeding Two Hundred and Fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned for a duration not exceeding ninety (90) days, either or both, in the discretion of the Recorder.
SECTION 4.

That all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
