SUBJECT: Approval of New Hires above Step C in Pay Grade
INITIATED BY: Clerk of Superior Court
Recommendation: Approval is requested to approve the hiring of personnel hired above Step C in pay grade for the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office effective January 10, 2017.
Background: Due to the desired staffing within the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office by the newly elected Clerk, approval is being requested to approve the starting pay for certain positions within the office.
Analysis: The new hire of two Assistant Chief Deputy Clerk positions which are currently vacant will aid in the transition, effective and efficient operation of the Clerk of Superior Court Office. The changes are as follows:
Legal Considerations: A resolution is required to approve starting pay for new hires above step C in any pay grade.
Recommendations/Actions: Approve a resolution to authorize the Clerk of Superior Court to hire two employees above Step C in pay grade for the Clerk’s Office at the request of the newly elected Clerk.
