I. WHITESVILLE WALK VARIANCE REQUEST - 1312 WOODVILLE COURT LOT 15 C:
Approval is requested for a variance request for platting and development of Lot 15 C, Whitesville Walk, to Article 8 of Chapter 7 of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) City Code Section 7.8.3 -Design Standards for Streets requiring the installation of a cul-de-sac when the logical extension of a subdivision is terminated.
II. ALLOCATION OF CDBG FUNDS TO NEIGHBORWORKS COLUMBUS:
Approval is requested to enter into a CDBG Written Agreement, between the Columbus Consolidated Government and the Columbus Housing Initiative, Inc. (d.b.a. Neighborworks Columbus), to award Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of $175,000 to acquire, rehabilitate or construct affordable single-family housing for income eligible households.
III. 2018 GEORGIA SMART COMMUNITIES CHALLENGE GRANT:
Approval is requested to submit an application and if awarded, accept the 2018 Georgia SMART Communities Challenge Grant in the amount of $50,000, or as otherwise awarded, with a 100% local match requirement.
the Columbus Consolidated Government is eligible to receive $50,000 in funding with 100% local match requirement; with 50% of the match coming from local partners and 50% of the match coming from the Columbus Consolidated Government; with the in-kind match expected to be 80% of the grant and the cash match expected to be 20% or $10,000; and the $10,000 being budgeted in the Information Technology budget. CCG will receive funding for planning of implementation of public wireless access and IoT devices.
These devices are intended to increase livability, drive collaboration and enhance public safety. Additionally, the Georgia Institute of Technology will provide research staff to conduct onsite development and initial research plans.

Approval is requested to authorize a Termination of Right to Repurchase for 1600 Blanchard Blvd (parcel #023 010 002A) in Columbus, Georgia. Faith Worship Center International, Inc. currently owns the property and is in the process of trying to sell it. After conducting a title examination it was discovered that the City has the right of first refusal to purchase the property. This property has no public use and is of no value to the City. There is no interest in pursuing the repurchase of this property.

Ft. Benning Road Roundabout – RFB No. 18-0043
Scope of Bid
Option 1 is to construct the proposed roundabout at Ft. Benning Road, Brennan Road, and Cusseta Road. Project includes storm water infrastructure improvements, asphalt paving, sidewalks, and landscaping.
Option 2 includes the roundabout but also includes construction of the proposed streetscapes along Ft. Benning Road from Wade Street to Shelby Street. Streetscapes work includes new multi-use trail, storm water infrastructure, asphalt paving, and landscaping.
The choice of which Option is selected shall be at the sole discretion of the City and will be based on the funding available for this project. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all technicalities and informalities

Chattahoochee River Walk Repair at Light Poles 371 & 374 – RFB No. 18-0047
Scope of Bid
The project involves the reconstruction of failed sections of earthen slope between the River Walk and the Chattahoochee River in the City of Columbus, GA. Included in the reconstruction are the removal of the damaged vegetation, asphalt pavement, and any loose soils. Reestablishment of the slope will involve the installation of a type 1 rip rap buttress to support the type 3 rip rap stone to be extended across the face of the damaged slope. Upon completion of the slope repairs, any damaged sections of the River Walk will be reconstructed.

Pool Repairs for Columbus Aquatics Center – RFB No. 18-0051
Scope of Bid
The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking bids from qualified vendors to perform repairs, to include
plaster, concrete and other repairs, for the Department of Parks & Recreation’s Aquatics Center. Vendors may choose to bid on one, two or all three of the items specified.

Air Conditioner Units – PQ No. 18-0004
Scope of Bid
The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking bids from qualified vendors to remove two (2) rooftop air conditioner units and replace with same. Vendor will be responsible for disposing of old units and related trash.

Fire Sprinkler Service & Inspections (Annual Contract) – RFB No. 18-0025
Scope of Bid
Provide fire sprinkler service and inspections for various facilities owned by the City of Columbus. The contract term will be for two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) twelve-month periods.

Scope of Bid
The Columbus Consolidated Government seeks proposals from qualified vendors to provide alcohol (beer/wine/liquor) management services at the Columbus Civic Center. The contract shall commence on October 1, 2018 (due date subject to change). The contract term shall be for three (3) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional twelve-month periods.

Inmate Medical & Pharmacy Services for Muscogee County Jail (Annual Contract) – RFP No. 18-0019
Scope of RFP
It is the intent of Columbus Consolidated Government (the City) and the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) to enter into an annual contract with a qualified medical correctional provider for comprehensive medical and pharmacy services to those patients incarcerated in the Muscogee County Jail (MCJ).
The contract term shall be for two (2) years with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods.

Scope of Bid
The Columbus Consolidated Government is seeking multiple consultants to provide Right of Way Acquisition Services on an “as needed basis”. The contract term will be for a period of two (2) years with the option to renew for three (3) additional twelve-month periods. The contract shall commence on June 12, 2018 (date subject to change).

The project includes construction of the proposed roundabout at the River Road/SR 219, Bradley Park Drive, and Cascade Drive intersection. Work includes new asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, concrete islands, storm water infrastructure, signage, and landscaping.
