An Ordinance amending Chapter 2 of the Columbus Code by amending the terms of members of the Retiree Health Benefit Committee; and for other purposes

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Section 2-272 of the Columbus Code is hereby amended by deleting the sixth sentence and inserting a new sixth sentence to read as follows:
“
The Mayor's appointee shall serve as chair and shall serve a term of two years from the date of initial appointment and thereafter; two of the Council appointees shall serve for terms of three years from date of initial appointment and thereafter; the two remaining Council appointments made in 2016 shall serve an initial term of two years and these two positions shall serve three-year terms thereafter.”
SECTION 2.
All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
