An Ordinance amending the Zoning Atlas of the Consolidated Government of Columbus, Georgia; this amendment changes certain boundaries of a district located at
4015 and 4019 Forrest Road; and 4100 Taylor Drive
from
NC (Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District.
THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS:
That the Zoning Atlas on file with the Planning Department is hereby amended by changing the aforementioned property from NC (Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning District to GC (General Commercial) Zoning District:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot Number Eleven (11) in the Eighth (8th) District of Muscogee County, Georgia, and in that certain Subdivision known as "Avalon in the Hills", as shown by a map or plat of said subdivision made by T. L. Moss, Jr., C.E., November 1940, which is of record in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia, in Plat Book 1, Page 214; the land herein conveyed being the whole and entire LOTS NUMBERED ONE (1) and TWO (2), in BLOCK "B" of the “Avalon in the Hills" Subdivision.
And
All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Land Lot 11of the 8th District of Muscogee County, Georgia, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at an iron at the point where the southeastern line of Taylor Drive intersects the southern line of Laurel Drive, and from said POINT OF BEGINNING running in an easterly direction along the southern line of Laurel Drive, 6.85 feet to an iron; thence running in an easterly direction along the southern line of Laurel Drive, 35.9 feet to a point at the northwest corner of property shown as Christian & Missionary Alliance Church on a plat by Siegel Engineering Company, dated March 12, 1959, and recorded in Plat Book 21, Folio 107, in the Office of the Clerk of Superior Court of Muscogee County, Georgia; thence running in a southeasterly direction along the western line of said Church property, 252.68 feet to a point on the northern line of Forrest Road; thence running in a westerly direction along the northerly line of Forrest Road 35. 32 feet to an iron; thence running in a westerly direction along the North line of Forrest Road; 93.65 feet to a point at the southeastern corner of Lot 2, Block "B", Avalon in the Hills; thence running in a northwesterly direction, along the eastern line of said Lot 2, 149.78 feet to the northeast comer of said Lot 2; thence running in a westerly direction along the rear lines of Lots 1and 2, Block "B", Avalon in the Hills, 50 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 1; thence running in a southeasterly direction along the western line of said Lot 1, 149.78 feet, more or less, to a point on the northern line of Forrest Road; thence running in a westerly direction along the northern line of Forrest Road, 50 feet to a point; thence running North 04 degrees 07 minutes West, 127.35 feet to a point on the southeastern line of Taylor Drive; thence running in a northeasterly direction along the southeastern line of Taylor Drive, 209.65 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
The above described parcel is all of that property shown as Reserved for Parking and Parcels "A" and "B" and part of that property shown as Robinson Service Station on the aforesaid plat by Siegel Engineering Company.
