WHEREAS, this Council has discussed a need for criteria for use of any discretionary funding which may be collected after implementation of voter-approved TSPLOST projects;

WHEREAS, the attached criteria shall serve as the TSPLOST discretionary funding criteria for the consolidated government of Columbus, Georgia for FY14 and subsequent fiscal years;

WHEREAS, no TSPLOST project shall be approved using discretionary funding until sufficient funds for such project have been collected from TSPLOST proceeds.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY RESOLVES:

We hereby adopt the following criteria for use in implementation of TSPLOST projects funded through discretionary funding for FY14 and subsequent fiscal years:

Overview: The criterion below represents current transportation needs in the community. These needs and the funding priority may change from year to year as additional improvements are identified or repairs become necessary. Projected funding from the TSPLOST Discretionary allocation will typically supplement other funding sources in each category.
