O R D I N A N C E S:

(1) 2nd Reading – REZN-01-17-0136: An ordinance adopting a text amendment to the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to create Section 2.5.24, an overlay district for 2nd Avenue (between 18th street, North of Manchester Expressway/45th Street) with a 500-foot depth at all intersections except "2nd Avenue and 42nd Street". The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommends approval. (As amended) (Mayor Pro-Tem)

(2) 2nd Reading – REZN-10-16-2143: An ordinance rezoning approximately 0.63 acre located at 2121 Floyd Road (parcel #096-022-015A). The current zoning is NC (Neighborhood Commercial). The proposed zoning is GC (General Commercial). The proposed use is convenience store with gas sales. The Planning Advisory Commission recommended approval and the Planning Department recommends approval. (Mayor Pro-Tem)

(3) 2nd Reading - REZN-12-16-2594: An ordinance rezoning 0.42 acre located at 6002 Veterans Parkway (parcel #189-006-006). The current zoning is NC (Neighborhood Commercial). The proposed zoning is GC (General Commercial). The proposed use is auto/truck repair, minor. The Planning Advisory Commission recommended approval and the Planning Department recommends conditional approval. (Mayor Pro-Tem)

(4) 2nd Reading - An ordinance amending Chapter 5 of the Columbus Code so as to establish and clarify various standards for the care of dogs and cats in Columbus, Georgia; and for other purposes. (Councilors Davis, Garrett, Allen & Henderson)

(5) 1st Reading - An ordinance amending Chapter 13 of the Columbus Code by striking Article I, Division 1 and adding a new Article I, Division 1 to Prohibit Smoking in All Workplaces and Public Places; and for other purposes. (Councilors Thomas, Woodson & Huff)

(6) 1st Reading - An ordinance revising the promotional procedures for the Columbus Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services. (Mayor Pro-Tem)
