An ordinance amending Sec. 13-167.3 so as to amend regulations governing placement of disposable and non-disposable containers in residential zoning districts and placement of rubbish, limbs and yard waste; and for other purposes.

THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1.
Columbus Code Section 13-167.3(A)(3)is hereby amended by deleting subsection (f) in its entirety and by substituting new subsections (f) and (g) to read as follows:
“(f) In residential zoning districts, disposable and non-disposable containers may be placed at curbside no earlier than 5:30 p.m. the day preceding collection.
(g) Rubbish, limbs, yard waste or other debris that is collected by mechanical means shall not be placed under low hanging wires or tree branches, next to mail boxes, cable boxes, fences, water meters, electrical boxes, drainage structures or similar structures that would prohibit the safe use of mechanical collection equipment. Rubbish, limbs, yard waste or other debris shall not be placed next to trees, shrubs or plants that may be damaged during the collection process.”
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
