A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF DR. JAMES FORREST TOELLE AS DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, the recruitment process for the Information Technology Director position involved a nationwide recruitment; and,

WHEREAS, a selection process was used that included a selection team of Deputy City Managers David Arrington and Lisa Goodwin, Finance Director Pam Hodge, Human Resources Director Reather Hollowell, Selvin Hollingsworth, IT Consultant, Abraham George, IT Officer for Columbus State University, and Chester Randolph, Board of Tax Assessor Chair. The final interview was conducted with City Manager Isaiah Hugley and the Honorable Mayor Teresa Pike Tomlinson. In accordance with the Columbus, Georgia Charter § 4-102(3), the City Manager is bringing forward for confirmation of Council Dr. James Forrest Toelle to be Director of the Information Technology Department.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

That the City Manager is hereby authorized to appoint Dr. James Forrest Toelle as Director of Information Technology Department at a Pay Grade 26E.
